- MUST BE WILLING to cross train into general OR if CV volumes are low
- MUST BE WILLING to cross train into other specialties if CV volumes are low
- Must be willing to work holidays and float to other units as needed
- Schedule Information
- 0645-1515 shifts, Monday-Friday
- CV RNs make their own call schedule as a group
- Weeknight/Call Requirements: 1-2 times per week 1515-0645
- Weekend/Call Requirements: every 3-4 weeks Fri 1515-Mon 0645
- Holiday/Call Requirements: Rotating holidays
- Call response time: 15 minutes
- Sleep room available for post call
- Guaranteed 32 hours, scheduled 40 hours
- Call approximately 2-3x per week and approximately every 3rd weekend
- Unit Specific Information
- 2 CVOR suites
- Average # of cases per day: 1-3
- Common Cases: Open hearts (CABG, Valve, aneurysms) thoracotomies, VATS, Convergent, AAA, carotids, ION robotic cases, ECMO, Impella 5.5, Stryker towers
- Scrubbing not required for RNs
- Charge Nurse for all shifts - Manager until 4pm Monday-Friday
- OR techs available
- Self-scheduling and block scheduling allowed
- Floating Requirements: as 'helping hands' or 1:1 sitter without taking patients
- Unit/department specific orientation: 3-4 days hospital clinical orientation, EPIC class, unit orientation/modules, 4-5 days unit-based orientation, 2 buddy call shifts
- Flexible orientation based on recent heart experience

- Radius Rule: 50 miles
- Candidates may not be employed with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity
- RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract)
