- Job Requirements
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- RNs are required to titrate drips.
- Charge Nurse responsibilities include having an assignment.
- Nurse aids/patient care techs duties and ratios are specified.
- RNs must be able to read and interpret telemetry.
- Schedule Information
- Shifts & Scheduling: 0630-1900, 1830-0700 for 6-week scheduling periods.
- Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend.
- Holiday Requirements: Will rotate with permanent staff.
- Floating requirements include Med/Surg and all areas in the hospital depending on abilities.
- Unit Specific Information
- 28 beds in the unit.
- Nurse to patient ratio: 1:04
- Specialty equipment available: Code Carts, LUCAS Machines, hoyer lift, Sit and Stand
- Additional Details
- Common diagnoses/Types of patients include adults from the ER, Mixed Medical/Surgical, cardiac, and stroke patients.
- Common titratable &/or set rate drips include Heparin, octreotide, insulin, etc.
- A Charge Nurse is present on each shift.
- Tele/Monitor Techs are present on the unit.
- Scrub Color/Dress code: Navy Blue
