• A large system in Nebraska/Iowa are looking for ICU RN's.
• 12 hour shifts, 36 hours guaranteed.
• 2 years of unit experience.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• 13 Week contract.

Job Requirements

• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required.

Schedule Information
• 12 hour shifts, 36 hours guaranteed.
• Shifts are 0630-1830, 1830-0630.
• Manager will make schedule based on unit needs.
• Weekend Requirements: Every other.
• Holiday Requirements: Every other or as needed for based on unit needs.

Unit Specific Information
• Nurse:Patient Ratios - 1:1-2 ICU, 1:4 PCU.
• Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Adults and Peds >15 years old.
• Nurses are required to titrate drips.
• Charge Nurse on each shift takes assignments; will attend RRTs and Codes.
• Nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit - Yes, ratio 1:18.
• RT Equipment: Nasal cannula to vents.
• No Tele/Monitor Techs - RNs need to be able to read and interpret.
• How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation? - 2 shifts.
• Attributes that will make a nurse successful on this unit include the ability to ask questions, a positive attitude, willingness to help others, critical thinking skills, personable, and a team environment meant to foster high-quality care.

Additional Details
• Floating Requirements: Will float to all inpatient units, excluding Maternity/NICU.
• Scrub Color/Dress Code: Navy Blue.
• Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
• RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
