- Great Wyoming Hospital on the Colorado border in an ideal location near hiking and other outdoor activities. Hospital is looking for the Tele RN for a thirteen week assignment.

- Must have experience with pre/post heart patients, including: Stents, pacemakers, ICDs, Pre/post-CABG and vascular surgeries
- Schedule Information
- Shifts: 12-hour shifts
- Scheduling: Self-scheduling and block scheduling available; more common for nights.
- Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend or up to 4 weekend shifts per month.
- Will be required to work holidays, will not be required to work call.
- Unit Specific Information
- Unit Details: Total Beds: 24
- Patient Ratios: Day Shift: 1 nurse to 4 patients, Night Shift: 1 nurse to 4-5 patients
- Patient Population: Focus on pre/post-cardiac procedures, including: Heart catheterizations (femoral and radial), Cardioversions, Post-cardiothoracic surgeries (thoracotomies, CABGs), Post-percutaneous coronary interventions (PCIs), Vascular procedures, NSTEMIs, and patients with tracheostomies (home-vented and with BiPAP/CPAP)
- Medication Management: Some medications require titration; non-titrable examples include: Dobutamine, Dopamine (titrable), Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro (titrable)
- Staffing Details: Telemetry/Monitor Techs: Present on the unit to manage monitoring; RNs do not need to interpret strips. Charge Nurse: Takes no patients during the day shift; takes 1-2 patients at night. Nurse Aides: Available with a ratio of 1:8 during the day and 1:12 at night.
- Equipment Used: BiPAP, CPAP, and home vents (home vent experience not required).

- Floating: Possible within the staff rotation.
- Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs required; scrubs are provided.
- Orientation: 2-3 shifts of unit-specific orientation.
- Desired Experience: Preference for step-down nurses over telemetry nurses due to the high acuity of the cardiac unit.
