The Technical Project Manager will oversee and deliver large-scale, complex enterprise-level projects while managing multiple high-impact initiatives concurrently. This position entails full ownership of the project lifecycle, including strategic planning, scope definition, resource allocation, budget oversight, risk assessment, issue management, and ensuring the timely and successful delivery of project outcomes. The Technical PM will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Procurement, Accounts Payable (AP), Treasury, Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounting, and Human Resources, to drive operational alignment, optimize workflows, and meet strategic business goals. The role demands exceptional leadership skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to navigate and deliver results in dynamic and multifaceted organizational environments.
How You Will Impact Education
Plan, develop, and execute project goals, scopes, success metrics, and requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives, cost efficiency, and risk mitigation with all stakeholders. Facilitate communication between HR, Finance, Procurement, AP, Treasury, AR, and Accounting teams to drive cross-functional project alignment and integration. Manage and maintain accurate technical and project documentation within SharePoint and other organizational systems to ensure accessibility and version control. Track and analyze project milestones, resource allocation, and team performance using available tools to ensure consistent and measurable progress. Conduct regular status updates and meetings to keep stakeholders informed on project progress. Address concerns and manage expectations throughout the implementation process. Identify and address changes in project scope, assess risks proactively, and implement effective contingency plans to minimize disruptions. Lead the implementation team's project plan, assigning tasks and managing work across different phases (installation, configuration, data migration, testing, training). Conduct in-depth risk and opportunity analyses, devising actionable strategies for mitigation and leveraging potential benefits. Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with quality and organizational standards. Act as the central liaison for project updates, delivering concise status reports and insights to stakeholders and leadership, including detailed post-sprint analyses. Lead initiatives for process improvement across Business Systems to enhance operational efficiency and project outcomes. Present strategic project recommendations, findings, and progress updates to senior leadership and executive stakeholders. Manage special projects and additional duties to address evolving business needs and priorities.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Proven expertise in project management principles, methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall), and best practices, with a strong foundation in leading complex, enterprise-wide projects. Extensive experience and ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and partnering with HR, Finance, Procurement, and other business units to achieve strategic goals and measurable outcomes. Skilled in collaborating with product managers and owners to align project roadmaps with organizational objectives, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables. Expertise in defining, managing, and refining project requirements across Agile and Waterfall software development environments. Exceptional strategic and analytical decision-making skills, with the ability to synthesize data, stakeholder feedback, and business priorities into actionable plans. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with a talent for conveying technical concepts to non-technical audiences and fostering clear stakeholder communication. Superior organizational and multitasking capabilities, adept at managing multiple high-priority projects simultaneously in dynamic, fast-paced environments. Proficiency in utilizing project management tools such as Monday.com, Jira, Lucid, and other platforms for tracking and execution. Strong conflict resolution, risk management, and problem-solving skills, with an aptitude for balancing competing priorities and mitigating project risks effectively. Active listener with a collaborative approach, skilled in engaging with stakeholders, team members, and leadership at all organizational levels. Proven ability to lead in high-stakes environments with professionalism, adaptability, and a results-oriented mindset. PMP certification or equivalent advanced project management credentials preferred; Agile certifications (e.g., PMI-ACP, SAFe, or CSM) are highly desirable.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Information Systems, Project Management, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project management credentials preferred. Minimum of 5+ years of experience leading 3+ full life cycle enterprise-wide projects, including ERP implementations, within mid-size or large organizations. Proven experience managing cross-functional projects involving HR, Finance, and other business units. Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Monday.com, or similar platforms. Willingness to travel in-state and out-of-state as required. Availability for occasional evening or weekend work to meet project deadlines or support critical project milestones.
