The Louisiana State Reporting Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely submission of all student and employee data for state, federal, and district reporting requirements.
How You Will Impact Education
This role serves as the primary point of contact and technical expert for Louisiana state reporting systems, providing end-user support and training on platforms such as EdLink 360, LES, LEADS, SIS, and SER. The coordinator collaborates with internal departments--including ITSS, Marketing & Enrollment, and Human Resources--to maintain data integrity, implement reporting procedures, and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines. Additionally, this position represents the district in state and regional meetings, staying current on regulatory changes to support effective data management and reporting.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Education, Data Science or Statistics, Computer Information System, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in data reporting, preferably in an educational setting. Strong knowledge of state reporting requirements for public education and charter schools. Proficiency in data analysis tools and reporting software (e.g., Excel, Power BI). Excellent organizational and communication skills. Attention to detail and a strong commitment to data accuracy. Knowledge and understanding of relational database systems. Ability to develop and design Infinite Campus ad-hoc queries. Working knowledge of FTE, Student Record, CPI, PowerBI, Tableau, or any other applicable tools.
Job Requirements
Manage the accurate and timely preparation, submission, and compliance of all student and employee data for Louisiana state, federal, and district reporting requirements, including EdLink 360, SIS, SER, CTE, CRDC, and other mandated reports. Serve as the primary point of contact and technical expert for end-user support and training on Louisiana state reporting systems (EdLink 360, LES, LEADS, SIS, SER). Define Louisiana reporting protocols and collaborate with national, state, and school staff (HR, IT, M&E, Finance, etc) to resolve issues related to student and employee data. Implement and maintain internal and external procedures to ensure accurate and timely input of student and staff data, including state-mandated coding. Plan, communicate, and provide staff training on updates and changes to state reporting requirements. Monitor and audit the quality of student records by reviewing internal error reports, correcting system errors, and prioritizing issues to maximize district funding. Stay current on Louisiana state laws, rules, and procedures related to data reporting, and provide ongoing training and support to district staff. Maintain accurate census and student contact information and manage communication regarding data changes. Collaborate with the ITSS team to securely transmit student data to the state in compliance with state and federal guidelines. Partner with ITSS and Marketing & Enrollment teams to ensure registration forms and first-day packets meet state reporting requirements. Coordinate with the English Learner (EL) Coordinator to ensure accurate classification and reclassification of EL students. Attend monthly state and regional meetings with the Louisiana Department of Education and other data collection entities to stay informed on reporting requirements. Coordinate, organize, and facilitate data-related projects within the district to ensure accuracy and timely data submissions. Develop, analyze, prioritize, and organize requirement specifications, data mapping, diagrams, and flowcharts for developers and testers to follow. Provide reports and exports of various SIS data. Design, direct and conduct the district's compliance with reporting related to state/federal reports. Assist in assigned activities related to student enrollment procedures, course scheduling, attendance, transcripts, student dropouts and graduation rates.
