- A hospital in Arizona is looking for experienced nurses for a travel contract for their MS/Tele float pool. The right candidate will have 2+ years of current tele experience.
- COVID vaccine is required or declination form with supporting documentation from clergy or MD.
- Job Requirements
- 2+ years of current tele experience
- Active BLS, ACLS, and AZ license or compact
- Must be able to titrate drips
- Required to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to starting (2 max attempts)
- Must take a pass/fail Sim lab on day 1 of orientation
- Schedule Information
- 12 hr shifts. 7-7.
- Every other weekend
- There will be frequent floating to sister facility, Mercy Gilbert
- Notification of campus and unit given 1.5 hrs prior to shift start
- Floating to different units mid-shift can happen
- Rare to float to another campus within a single shift, but possible
- Unit Specific Information
- Will float between all Tele and MedSurg units
- CV Tele B3A - 32 beds, ratio 1:3-4, BLS, ACLS, no patient assignment for charge nurse
- A3 Neuro - 28 beds, ratio 1:3-4, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- MedSurg C5 - 32 beds, ratio 1:4 ratio days and nights, BLS, ACLS
- MedSurg B2C - 29 beds, ratio 1:4 ratio days and nights, BLS, ACLS
- Common diagnoses/types of patients: Post cath lab, post vascular procedures, day 2 CABG patients, general tele, neuro post-surgical, post-crani, spine, CVAs post TPA, etc.
- Additional Details
- MUST BE ABLE TO TITRATE CARDIAC DRIPS
- Floating is required. Depending on skill level, nurses will float to ICU, Cardiac Tele, as well as all Tele units, MedSurg, any & every holding area
- They staff the observation floor 1st, then the other units
- Depending on traffic takes 15 minutes. All interstate
- Must clock-out when leaving one campus then clock-in when arrive at the other campus
