- A hospital in Arizona is looking for experienced nurses for a travel contract for their MS/Tele float pool.
- Travelers are required to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to starting (2 max attempts) and will take a pass/fail Sim lab on day 1 of orientation.
- COVID vaccine is required or declination form with supporting documentation from clergy or MD.
- Job Requirements
- The right candidate will have 2+ years of current tele experience, an active BLS, ACLS and AZ license or compact.
- TRAVELERS MUST BE ABLE TO TITRATE DRIPS!!
- Travelers will need to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start (WITH 2 MAX ATTEMPTS), within 48 hours of offer.
- Schedule Information
- There will be frequent floating to the sister facility, Mercy Gilbert.
- Notification of campus and unit given 1.5 hrs prior to shift start.
- Floating to different units mid-shift can happen.
- Rare to float to another campus within a single shift, but possible.
- The distance between the 2 campuses is 9 miles.
- Depending on traffic takes 15 minutes.
- All interstate.
- Must clock-out when leaving one campus then clock-in when arrive at the other campus.
- Shifts: 12 hr shifts. 7-7.
- Unit Specific Information
- Tele B3A: 32 beds, Certs: BLS, ACLS, Ratios: 1:3-4, Common diagnosis/Types of patients: Post cath lab, post vascular procedures, day 2 CABG patients, general tele.
- Tele Neuro: 28 beds, Certs: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, Common diagnosis/Types of patients: Neuro post surgical, post cranis, spine, CVAs post TPA.
- Medical-Surgical C5: 32 beds, Certs: BLS, ACLS, Common diagnosis/Types of patients: 80% Surgical, 20% Oncology.
- Medical-Surgical B2C: 29 beds, Certs: BLS, ACLS, Common diagnosis/Types of patients: General MedSurg patients that require tele.
- Additional Details
- ACLS, BLS, NIHSS;Auto Offer off of Prescreen Recc.
- MUST BE ABLE TO TITRATE CARDIAC DRIPS!!
- Floating is required.
- Depending on skill level, nurses will float to ICU, Cardiac Tele, as well as all Tele units, MedSurg, any & every holding area (this could be in the Cath Lab, ER, observation floor, even a hallway).
- They staff the observation floor 1st, then the other units.
- Is the "new grad training unit", all new grads train with a "clinical scholar" for 4 weeks.
