    Certification Details
  • BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications needed.
    Job Details
  • The right candidate will have 2+ years of current tele experience (including Neuro experience) and hold an active BLS, ACLS and AZ license or compact.
  • Travelers must pass a dysrhythmia exam upon offer with 2 max attempts.
  • There is also a pass/fail Sim Lab on Day 1 of orientation (study guides will be provided with the first day instructions).
  • COVID vaccine is required or declination form with appropriate documentation AND hospital approval.
    Job Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience - must be recent, within the past 6 months.
  • COVID vaccine is required, or religious or medical declination form (with appropriate documentation).
  • Pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of receiving offer, through RELIAS, only (with 2 MAX attempts).
  • There will be a Pass/Fail exam on day 1 of orientation, with an emphasis on sterile field. Study materials will be provided with first day instructions, so please make sure travelers are up to date on proper sterile techniques.
    Schedule Information
  • Shifts: 12 hr shifts. 7-7.
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.
  • First to float, could float to sister facility, Mercy Gilbert

  • Unit: D4 Neuro
  • Number of beds: 28
  • Ratios: 1:3-4
  • Charge Nurse: Yes, no patient assignment. Also have a Clinical Supervisor in a management role.
  • Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Neuro post surgical, post cranis, spine, CVAs post TPA.

  • Centralized tele. RNs must be able to interpret EKGs.
  • No ventilators.
  • Hospitalist rounds during the day and on call at night.
  • No IV Team
  • Respiratory Therapy (RT) available 24/7
  • Pharmacy available 24/7
  • Floor-specific orientation: 2 days on the floor.
