Certification Details
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.

Job Details
• This position requires a full 3 years of ICU experience to be considered.
• Travelers could also float to the sister facility Mercy Gilbert, if needed.
• Typically, every other weekend is required but might have to work 3 weekends a month if unit is busy and needs extra coverage.
• Flexibility is a must.
• Travelers must pass a dysrhythmia exam upon offer with 2 max attempts.
• There is also a pass/fail Sim Lab on Day 1 of orientation (study guides will be provided with the first day instructions).
• COVID vaccine is required or declination form with appropriate documentation AND hospital approval.

Job Requirements
• 3 full years of current ICU experience.
• Active BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and AZ license or compact license (TNCC is preferred).
• Must be able to pass a dysrhythmia exam and a Sim Lab on Day 1 of orientation.

Schedule Information
• Self-scheduling with manager adjustments for unit needs.
• 3 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule, Nightshift weekends are Friday - Saturday, Dayshift are Saturday - Sunday.
• May have 1 holiday off in an assignment.
• No additional call/standby shifts required but may be low censused up to 3 times per contract depending on unit needs.

Unit Specific Information
• Nurse:Patient Ratios 1:2, 1:1.
• Experience with trauma, neuro and specialty devices needed.
• Charge Nurse does not take patients.
• Nurse aids only used for sitters and as Health Unit Secretary.

Additional Details
• Surgical ICU - Trauma Neuro Surgery.
• Unit specific orientation for 1-2 days.
• Scrub Color/Dress Code: Navy.
• Sister units include a medical/cardiac 36 bed ICU & 12 bed overflow ICU.
