- Shifts are 12 hours, from 7a to 7p or 7p to 7a
- Orientation includes 2 shifts to Med/Surg/Tele at primary campus
- Will be caring for ED holds waiting for unit placement, primarily MS/Tele patients
- RNs will be caring for more tele patients versus medical
- Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field, must be recent within the past 6 months
- Must have a strong cardiac tele background, preferably 2 years
- Ability to interpret cardiac strips
- Must pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of offer with a maximum of 2 attempts
- Must pass a pass/fail SIM LAB on the first day of orientation
- Schedule Information
- Ability to self-schedule; however, this could change
- 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule
- Holiday rotation with permanent staff
- No call required
- Unit Specific Information
- Unit has 60 ED beds at CRMC and 31 ED beds at MGMC
- Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4
- No vents on unit
- There is no monitor tech in the ED
- Common titratable and/or set rate drips are Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone
- ED PCTs available
- Floating Requirements: Would float to med/surg/tele/overflow units and CRMC/MGMC EDs as needed
- Scrub Color/Dress Code: Navy
- Additional Details
- Will be caring for patients from the ER waiting on a bed in the hospital
- May assist with ED patients including vitals, IV starts, and medication administration
