About the Team: BMC SAAS Operations is spread across multiple geographical locations, is responsible for operating, managing, and maintaining BMC's organic cloud software and the infrastructure which is run across 24 Data Centers globally. Some of these Data Centers are run in partnership with public cloud providers like AWS, OCI and GCP. Some of these are self-owned Data Centers. On these Data Centers, BMC is running Service Operations and IT Operations related solutions. One of the key focus areas for SAAS Operations is to drive higher efficiency and effectiveness by bringing in more automated processes to deliver the various services and thus contribute to delivering a transcending customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Define and implement the DevOps strategy, aligning with overall business objectives.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth deployment and integration processes.
• Design, build, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for various applications.
• Ensure reliable and automated build, test, and deployment processes across all environments.
• Oversee the architecture and management of cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
• Establish and manage monitoring and logging solutions to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Analyze system performance metrics and implement improvements as necessary.
• Ensure security best practices are integrated into the DevOps processes.
• Collaborate with security teams to maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between development and operations teams.
• Act as a liaison between technical teams and stakeholders, providing updates on
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
· 10+ years of experience in DevOps, system administration, or software development.
· 3+ years of experience in a leadership role managing teams.
· Strong proficiency with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
· Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
· Expertise in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, etc.).
· Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
· Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with Agile methodologies and practices.
· Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Google Professional DevOps Engineer).
· Knowledge of database management and optimization.

Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
The salary listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.
