The BMC Software Senior Education Developer is the technical development expert in assigned BMC product areas and also an expert on development tools and processes. Based on this the Lead Education Developer takes over the development of complex standard and customer training content. Education Developer can work on several projects simultaneously.
- The Senior developer is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on BMC products and keeps updated on latest BMC technology changes.
- Builds a network of SMEs, to rely on for questions.
- Develops content directly him-/herself with high quality and based on latest standards.
- Develops Advanced level & Expert level courses, and certifications for BMC customers & partners.
- Builds product images for the team. Troubleshoots, finds solution to image & lab problems independently or with SME help.
- Helps team with efficient migration of the gold image to ReadyTech.
- Lab testing for ILT courses.
- Delivers train the trainer sessions after course release.
- Reviews and suggests improvements on development processes, tools.
- Lead Developer designs and develops instructor-led training courses and eLearning courses drawing on their in-depth BMC product experience & knowledge.
- Knowledge of LMS standards like SCORM, AICC is a plus.
Qualifications
- Min 7 years in a software or hardware company, preferred software
- Min 3 years in education or services, preferred education development
- Preferred project management experience
- Very deep experience and technical knowledge of multiple BMC products
- Strong understanding of technology and ability to present technical information on both a technical level and a business level.
- Excellent problem solving and technical writing skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in the use of applications such as; Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook

Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
The salary listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.
