Overview/Purpose:
The primary purpose of the Report Solutions Analyst is to work with business stakeholders across MVH support and business units to gather, clarify, and translate reporting and analytics requirements in to agile documentation and conceptual design from which they can prepare data mappings and support reporting solutions. The analyst will perform technical data analysis to understand and support the current state processes and solutions and plan for enhancements. This position is an active participant in the enterprise data project life cycle with the ability to communicate, analyze, and document data requirements and solutions as a bridge between business and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with business stakeholders to determine and document reporting and analytics requirements
Align requirements across business units with varying business models to differentiate enterprise and business unit specific reporting and data needs
Create detailed gap analysis between current and future state of reporting and analytics in an environment with a rapidly changing data landscape
Analyze, query, and explore the Azure data lake to understand current state data processes and structures and provide support in solution design and planning as well as available solutions
Complete the technical mapping of data fields between current and future state of the data platform
Write detailed user stories to support data development efforts for enterprise reporting and analytics products
Collaborate and communicate effectively on requirements and solution build with the technical team throughout the development life cycle
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology or related field is preferred, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Five plus years of experience with strong understanding of gathering reporting requirements, building reports and technical data analysis required.
Prefer health care background (veterinary or human healthcare, pharmaceutical, etc.).
Context/Scope:
Strong relationships and effective communication with business stakeholders
Clear and thorough documentation/user stories and communication to support the technical team
Close tracking of the project life cycle to maintain development momentum while servicing business needs
Technical data analysis to understand current state processes, document technical requirements, and support the design and build of solutions
Salary: $93,000 - $130,000
Remote/Travel: This role will be remote
