Job Summary
- The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) is accountable for performing a variety of chemical, hematologic, microscopic and bacteriologic procedures following established standards and practices. Data is used in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.
- Performs all duties and responsibilities in such a way as to demonstrate and support the hospital's Catholic and Benedictine heritage and Avera co-sponsorship values of hospitality, compassion and stewardship.
- Provides care/service in accordance with regulatory and accrediting agencies standards and Catholic Religious Directives.
Education and/or Experience
- Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technician required.
- Willing to consdier new MLT graduates.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Certification as Medical Laboratory Technician required within one year of hire date.
Work Schedule
- Evening/Night Shift: 3:00pm-11:30pm Monday to Friday
- Every 3rd weekend & holiday - overnight shift from 11pm to 7am
- Full time; 80 hours every 2 weeks
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
- $22.00 - $31.75 per hour
