Job Details
• *50-mile radius required! NO local travelers.
• 3x12 - option to pick up 4th shift if staffing needs arise
• Unit: Inpatient Surgical
• Start: ASAP/~3-weeks from offer; orientation is e/o
• Duration: 13-weeks
• Patient Diagnoses: General surgery, abdominal surgery, urological surgery, orthopedic surgery, hysterectomy, mastectomy, spine surgery, bariatric surgery.
• Special Procedures/Unit Details: Will accept pediatric surgical patients aged 12 and above depending on surgical procedure. Fast paced inpatient surgical unit requiring previous surgical experience.
• Patient Ratios: 1:6
• Beds: 24
• Avg Daily Census: 18

Job Requirements
• - BLS
• - VA or compact License
• 1 year of Surgical experience
• - Experience with: Surgical unit, Colostomy care, Feeding tube care and management, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Starting IVs, Heparin, Insulin, PCA, Ortho trauma, Total Joint Replacements, Surgical drains, Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, Nasal Cannula, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac, Continuous Bladder Irrigation, Ages 12+

• Schedule: 3x12s; every other weekend
• *Weekends: every other
• *Scrubs: Navy
