    Certification Details
  • Traveler must have Wisconsin Registered Nurse license or compact license from their permanent address state.
  • BLS must be certified through American Heart Association ONLY
  • PALS - must be certified through American Heart Association
    Job Details
  • We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join the team on the Pediatric Intensive Care unit.
  • Nurses on this 21-bed unit care for children from newborn to adult.
  • PICU nurses provide comprehensive care for patients admitted with a wide variety of both medical and surgical problems. Problems include: acute head injuries, critical neurological disorders, pulmonary diseases, cardiac anomalies, organ transplantation, multi system organ failure, and ECMO.
    Job Requirements
  • Experience: Pediatric ICU experience required.
  • Solid experience in PICU, and some CV ICU or cardiac step down or general cardiac experience required.
  • Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last three years.
  • Traveler must have experience in an Academic Level 1 or 2 - Trauma center or similar size hospital.
  • Traveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience.
  • Traveler will be required to pass UW Health Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start (not for clinic positions).
  • Needs 2 completed references from recent work environment/assignments (supervisor or manager only for work performed in the last two years).
    Schedule Information
  • Travelers are the first to float.
  • The traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization.
  • During the traveler's assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete contract.
    Additional Details
