  • We are seeking an OR Pediatric RN to:
  • Communicate and coordinate Operating Room activities to facilitate efficiency in the surgical case progression and turnover between cases.
  • Implement safe, competent, and efficient patient care within policies, procedures, and standards and care plan to perioperative patients regardless of complexity.
    Job Requirements
  • Traveler must include and meet all minimum requirements below to be considered.
  • Do not submit candidates who have or will have expiring licenses and/or certifications during time frame of entire assignment. Candidates will automatically be declined.
  • Only submit profile who can work schedule in posting and interested in the unit.
  • Traveler must have permanent address outside 50 mile radius of Madison (address must be included in traveler's profile).
  • Clinical Operating Room experience, pediatric nursing experience including PICU.
  • Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within last 3 years.
  • Traveler must have experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or similar size hospital.
  • Successfully completed traveler assignment (13 weeks).
    Schedule Information
  • Travelers are the first to float to floors working with children up to 1 year of age and/or based on the traveler's competency skills/experience.
  • The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization.
  • During the travelers assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete contract.
    Additional Details
  • UW Health is moving away from using outdated file formats for Microsoft (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Profiles will need to be submitted in the following format: .docx, .xlsx and .pptx file types or our IS department will be blocking them and we will no longer receive the files nor able to forward internal to our hiring managers.
