THE ROLE: 

AMD is looking for a senior software engineer to join our growing team. As a key contributor you will be part of a leading team to drive and enhance AMD's abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry-leading technologies to market.  

THE PERSON: 

The ideal candidate possesses an innovative and problem-solving mindset, has a keen eye for Software engineering development, and is diligent and passionate about Technology. A successful candidate will need to employ strong knowledge in computer technologies, leadership skills in technical areas, and SW engineering expertise as well as a strong ability to compete effectively in a fast-paced, relevant environment while working with different teams of engineers and collaborators. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Collaborate with AMD's architecture experts to combine the latest and most advanced models, algorithm, and applications in the fields of AI and machine learning with AMD's state-of-the-art hardware platforms to achieve the best and most competitive solutions 
• Stay informed of software and hardware trends and innovations, especially pertaining to algorithms and architecture 
• Design and develop new groundbreaking AMD technologies 
• Debugging/fix existing issues and research alternative, more efficient ways to accomplish the same work 
• Develop technical relationships with peers and partners 
•  

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

• Strong understanding in the fields of artificial intelligence and machine learning
• Experience with AI system development based on heterogeneous computing platform
• Strong object-oriented programming background, C/C++ preferred 
• Ability to write high quality code with a keen attention to detail 
• Experience in developing open source libraries and APIs is preferred
• Experience with software development processes and tools such as debuggers, source code control systems (GitHub) and profilers is a plus 
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

• Master's degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
