Sr Director of Server Performance Optimization
THE ROLE:
We are searching for a senior technical leader to help drive innovation and Performance Architecture Optimization for future AMD Server CPUs in it's Server Performance Group. This leader will help drive and manage technical innovation, working with senior technical leaders in IP and SoC teams as well as across different engineering teams, AMD business units and critical AMD customers. In addition, this leader will drive developmental efficiencies, working within Server Performance and cross-organizationally, focusing on current efficiency efforts and promoting new ideas for change.
THE PERSON:
This role combines strong people leadership and teamwork skills and strong technical expertise, working with both executive level technical and management leaders to influence and drive change.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Cross-discipline and cross-organizational change agent, driving innovation and developmental improvements. Overseeing performance architecture development and end-to-end product performance optimization from concept through post-production including hardware/software co-optimization.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Demonstrated executive level leadership plus management capabilities
- Demonstrated large project leadership experience
- Strong technical skills related to computer architecture/RTL/microarchitecture, Performance Modeling, Projection methodology, workloads analysis or closely related background
- Demonstrated expertise in end-to-end performance optimization process, from early concept through production, hardware/software co-optimization.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Master's degree required, emphasis in Electrical Engineering, Computer architecture, or Computer Science with SoC/IP performance studies preferred.

Austin Tx Primary, would be open for other locations for the right person
