THE ROLE:
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development, optimization, and performance enhancement of AI libraries for AMD's cutting-edge GPU compute platforms. In this role, you will work at the forefront of AI technology, helping to deliver high-performance solutions that empower a wide range of AI workloads.

In this role, you will play a key part in developing and refining essential libraries that power AI workloads. We are seeking a person who brings a deep understanding of performance optimization, with a sharp analytical mindset and exceptional problem-solving abilities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Library Development & Optimization: Design, implement, and optimize AI operations specifically for AMD GPU platforms, ensuring maximum performance and efficiency.
- Performance Profiling & Analysis: Conduct in-depth profiling and performance analysis to identify and resolve bottlenecks in AI workloads.
- Collaborative Innovation: Work closely with AMD's internal technical teams as well as external partners and customers to continuously improve and refine AI libraries.
- Quality Code Delivery: Contribute to open-source software projects, maintaining high standards for code quality, reliability, and maintainability.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Proficiency in C/C++: Strong experience in software development, including software architecture design, performance analysis, debugging, and test design.
- GPU Computing Expertise: Familiarity with GPU computing frameworks such as CUDA, HIP, or OpenCL, with a solid understanding of parallel programming.
- Low-Level Optimization: Experience with performance tuning techniques, including assembly programming, is a plus.
- Understanding of AI Accelerators: Knowledge of various AI hardware accelerators (e.g., GPU, DSP, TPU) and their architectures is advantageous.
- AI Operations: Familiarity with the operations and algorithms commonly used in AI workloads
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- A Master's, PhD, or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
