THE ROLE:
We are looking for an experienced HR Specialist to join our growing EMEA HR Operations team which is part of the Global HR Shared Services Organization. As a contributor, you will be involved in ensuring the smooth running of our HR Shared Services through undertaking in-country HR Operations tasks: onboarding, HR compliance, leave management, manager upskilling and special projects to support business needs.

You are a self-starter and team player who can adapt quickly as priorities change. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are willing to go the extra mile for the stakeholders you serve. Background in HR with a broad range of generalist skills from hire to retire.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Continuous improvement of HR processes to improve both efficiency and the people experience utilising automation.
- Handle employee and manager questions related to Employment Policies
- Host training sessions with managers to address key questions related to managing performance gaps and issues
- Manage cases within AMD's Case Tracking Tools
- Enhance the employee experience through the effective delivery of AMD's onboarding program for onsite and remote employees
- Manage the update of Employment Policies in partnership with the Legal Team
- Partner with global ‘AskHR' team and answer specific requests as a Shared Services and Employee Relations expert
- Coach employees and managers through employee relations and performance issue cases with support of employee relations team
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience as a HR Specialist/HR Generalist
- High attention to detail, with excellent Excel skills
- Working knowledge of Employment Law across the region to support policy updates and explanation to employees
- Excellent communication skills, high attention to detail with a high degree of personal integrity and confidentiality
- Experience with HR systems such as SAP or Success Factors an advantage
- Self-starter, detail-orientated problem solver who can prioritize well
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a global company within a multi-cultural, cross-functional team
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in related discipline preferred
English as a business language proficiency essential
Additional European language skills desirable
