THE ROLE :

As an Application Developer at AMD, you will play a crucial role in design and development of IT applications. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to build responsive and feature-rich applications using Python and Java based frameworks with both front-end and back-end development. This role offers a unique chance to apply your skills, learn from experienced professionals, and contribute to innovative projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Collaborate with IT team and Business team including architects, developers, and other stakeholders to create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces for web based applications.

• Develop and maintain the front-end of applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python-based frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask).
• Implement back-end functionality and database integration using Python.
• Ensure seamless communication between the front-end and back-end components of applications.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to deliver high-quality and reliable applications.
• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and responsiveness.
• Stay updated on the latest web and application development trends, tools, and best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of development processes.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Python-based frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask).
• Strong understanding of back-end development with Python.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
• Experience with UI frameworks such as Bootstrap, React, or Angular.
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Understanding of responsive design principles.
• Knowledge of web development best practices and responsive design.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and frameworks.
• Linux system administration skills beyond basic knowledge.

At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package.  Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position. You may be eligible for incentives based upon your role such as either an annual bonus or sales incentive.
