The Role:
We are looking for an experienced, strategic leader to help drive growth in our server business unit. The role is responsible for developing product and sales & marketing collateral to use with our channel partners in coordination with our sales team to successfully grow our market share for server CPUs. Specific responsibilities include developing system and product specific value propositions and aligning these proposals with our channel programs to create compelling offerings in the market. Additionally, the role will be responsible for directing global enablement sessions with our traditional global service integrator, value-added reseller, and distribution companies to communicate these proposals effectively to our partners. The role is expected to apply their own subject matter expertise on the data center market and our business unit strategy to develop collateral and content outlining our technical differentiation and translate this differentiation to a common customer economic value proposition with our partners. Additionally, the role is expected to coordinate effectively and efficiently with other server team members and more broadly across the sales organization to aggregate the ideas, develop content, and meet our sales growth goals. This is a leadership position within a matrixed organization requiring excellent communication and coordination skills to lead across the product, sales, and marketing organizations as well as deliver senior executive reporting. Success in the role will be measured on the effectiveness of the partner growth initiatives you lead and on the team meeting sales growth goals.
The Person:

- Knowledgeable about server system configuration and deployment across multiple IT data center environments and workloads.
- Experience developing relationships, solutions, and programs with partners in server and cloud compute channel.
- Existing relationships with partners in server and cloud compute channel.
- Comfortable with significant level of ambiguity in problem statements and assignments requiring individual creativity to synthesize data and create applicable value propositions.
- Demonstrated experience leading in a matrixed organization to coordinate programs and initiatives that utilize the skills of resources both inside and outside of your own team.
- Technical competence and understanding of semiconductor, system, and software ecosystems applicable to the data center market.
- Effective presenting to different range of audiences including internal engineering teams, sales teams, and business / partner executives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage cross functional teams (product, sales, marketing) to develop value propositions and partner incentive programs to driver server CPU sales.
- Build and nurture relationships with external partners and internal teams to improve efficiencies related to engaging and delivering value to end customers.
- Partner effectively within AMD teams to drive creative thinking and problem solving that translate into actionable initiatives for the business unit to achieve its sell-out goals.
- Provide feedback to help the server business unit develop improved market understanding, clear strategic priorities, and actionable plans for sales growth.
Preferred Experience:
- Channel Sales & Marketing Experience: +8 years proven success of establishing new partner programs and driving consistent, annual double-digit growth.
- Industry Experience: An established background in the data center market with relevant industry and partner relationships.
- Leadership Experience: Proven success of implementing change in a matrixed organization through communication of problem statements and applicable solutions.
- Communication Experience: Experience as as technology industry team leader responsible for driving product, business, or sales initiatives.
PREFERRED ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
Relevant technical or business degree; MBA is preferred.
