THE ROLE:
AI Solution Architect GPU. This position is in the AMD AI organization.

THE PERSON:
Success in this role requires deep expertise in Data Center AI workloads, including Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, Recommendation Systems, Computer Vision, and other cutting-edge AI technologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with various AI models, end-to-end pipelines, and industry-standard frameworks and SDKs. This individual should possess a strong technical background in GPU computing and AI software solutions, with a focus on driving customer success and innovation in both cloud and edge environments.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead technical discussions and craft strategic proposals for top customers, effectively positioning AMD's AI solutions and differentiators.
  • Drive the successful execution of customer Proof-of-Concept (PoC) initiatives, ensuring technical alignment and achieving project milestones.
  • Collaborate with customers to gather requirements and help shape AI software solutions, while contributing to the long-term roadmap for AI software across cloud and edge platforms.
  • Provide valuable insights into hardware and silicon roadmap planning, ensuring alignment with AI-driven use cases and customer needs in the data center and at the edge.
  • Conduct competitive analysis of AI solutions, identifying key strengths and weaknesses to effectively communicate AMD's value proposition and market advantage.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • GPU Expertise: In-depth experience with GPU programming and optimization, including expertise in CUDA and ROCm.
  • AI Software Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with AI frameworks and software solutions, such as TensorRT, PyTorch, JAX, vLLM, and Megatron-LM.  Coding skills in Python and C++. 
  • Model Optimization: Proven ability to implement and optimize large-scale AI models, including LLMs, Generative AI, and Recommendation Systems.
  • Industry Experience: Experience working on AI projects in hyperscale data centers or large enterprise environments is highly preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present complex technical information and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and customers.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • Master's degree is preferred.

San Jose, CA. Other US locations may be considered.
