About the role:

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop planned and scheduled work within the maintenance management system for future mobile equipment activities to improve work force productivity
  • Eliminate potential delays and obstacles to efficient work execution through coordinated availability of resources, parts and material, equipment access and ensuring thorough backlog management within the CMMS
  • Direct daily work execution for the mechanics and planned maintenance compliance follow-up and execution
  • Ensure team is operating safely and compliance with all EHS standards remains intact
  • Supervise hourly employees; plan and coordinate efforts with departments
  • Labor relations activities including responses to grievances and day to day labor interface
  • Supervise Departmental safety, quality, cost performance and provide leadership and support to improve desired performance and behavior
  • Place Oracle PO orders specific to Department Asset assigned to
  • Ensure all filter/fluids on hand for PMs
  • Provide ETAs for all parts orders via spreadsheet for planning purposes
  • Coordinate Parts Inventory with Union employee receiving/stocking orders
  • Write POs for Departmental rentals - coordinating with FML
  • Oversee/coordinate VMI orders/vendors for Truck Shop
  • Maintain parts manuals/equipment drawings on Truck Shop database

What You Can Bring to the Role:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years of fleet maintenance leadership experience with some technical education beyond high school
  • Proficiency with computers including Microsoft office and web-based applications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Maintenance Planning experience within CMMS
  • Associates or technical school degree in a technical field
  • Heavy industrial vehicle maintenance experience/education STRONGLY PREFERRED
