About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Specialist to join our Mining Studies team in Pinjarra. This residential role will be pivotal in driving the success of our projects by managing integrated schedules, ensuring quality and compliance, and facilitating strategic alignment across operations.

Reporting to the Mining Studies Manager, you'll play a key role in optimising project performance, managing stakeholder communication, and driving continuous improvement. Enjoy a standard Monday to Friday work schedule with a paid leisure day every four weeks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and coordinate detailed project schedules, including the integrated mine schedule, ensuring alignment across teams and identifying interdependencies.

  • Monitor and report on project status, including budget, schedule, and resources, utilising PowerBI for visualisations and providing regular updates to stakeholders.

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards (ISO certifications), proactively identify and resolve obstacles, and conduct scenario analysis for risk management and schedule optimisation.

  • Prepare and deliver stakeholder presentations, manage vendor tasks and deliverables, and facilitate effective communication across all levels.

  • Align project priorities with business demands, manage environmental requests, ensure schedule alignment across operations, and drive continual process improvement initiatives.

What you can bring to the role:

  • Relevant Tertiary Qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, Finance, Commerce, or equivalent.

  • Extensive project scheduling experience managing complex project schedules using Primavera P6 and other project management tools, including handling multiple schedules simultaneously.

  • Technical proficiency, with advanced skills in PowerBI, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint), and other collaboration/project management systems.

  • Strong Communication & Stakeholder Management, including excellent verbal and written communication, with proven ability to influence stakeholders at all organisational levels and facilitate collaborative decision-making.

  • Demonstrated capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, while consistently meeting tight deadlines.

Pinjarra Hub is our centralised Mining Hub, which supports our two mine sites, Huntly and Willowdale. The location also hosts, separately, other departments who provide support to our WA Refineries. This office is situated on the Bindjareb land of the Noongar people, in the Shire of Murray, just east of the Pinjarra town site.
