Description

The Department of Medicine at Albany Medical College is seeking a Chief to lead our Division of Gastroenterology. The Division directs a Fellowship training program and has unique faculty expertise in hepatology, motility disorders, inflammatory bowel disease, pancreaticobiliary disease, and advanced endoscopy. Albany Medical College is one of the nation's oldest medical schools, having been founded in 1837, and is the only academic tertiary and quaternary care hospital in the Capital District region of New York.

The successful applicant will bring a track record of unique subspecialty clinical expertise; leadership in clinical and educational enterprises; and experience in programmatic development. Experience in clinical research is desirable. It is anticipated that the future Chief will be Associate Professor or Professor-level eligible. The Chief will be expected to lead the Division during this exciting time of regional growth and expansion of service lines.
