Description
The Department of Medicine and the Division of Allergy and Immunology at Albany Medical College are seeking an allergist-immunologist for appointment as Assistant or Associate Professor. Candidates should be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Allergy/Immunology and be eager to engage in clinical practice, teaching, research, and quality improvement.
The position involves the full scope of adult and pediatric allergy/immunology practice as well as providing inpatient consultation at Albany Medical Center, the major teaching hospital for northeastern New York State. The ideal candidate should be a skilled teacher of medical students, residents, and A/I fellows in the ambulatory, inpatient, and didactic settings. He/She would join 2 other full time A/I faculty members, two A/I fellows in training, and a team of 6 nurses. This academic practice is a cohesive unit where empathy and mutual respect as well as excellence in patients care and teaching are highly valued. Candidates interested in research are encouraged to apply and would have the opportunity to join well-established research programs in the Division.
