Position Overview
The ideal candidate for our Field Support and Training role (Local Market Manager, “LMM”), is driven by their desire to support the success of our Design Consultants (DCs), and to contribute to the satisfaction of our clients and overall growth of the company.
Those who hold this role are defined by their effective coaching skills, ability to build trusting relationships, and capacity to work successfully with all personality types. They are excited by their contribution to building a thriving sales team that is highly competent, confident, and outpaces the industry in growth year after year!
What you'll do
You'll play a key role in helping us retain our newest team members by ensuring they become self-reliant and successful:
- Ride-along with new DCs 5 days a week, for the first 4 weeks of their in-home sales appointments, and support tenured DCs continuous development via ride along
- Provide DC with thoughtful, specific, and actionable feedback and coaching
- Provide sales leaders with accurate, substantive, and timely written & verbal feedback on DC performance and progress
- Ensure DC accuracy through observation and client order review
- Instill best practices, such as time management, process implementation, and adept utilization of all tools and resources
- Present product and process related topics in team meetings
Who you are
- Well defined relationship-based skills, with customer satisfaction orientation and excellent interpersonal and communication
- Demonstratable coaching skills
- Ability to confidently present information in a team meeting
- Ability to learn quickly and be resourceful, and to understand and carry out oral and written instructions
- Ability to work independently, one-on-one, or with the team
- Well-organized with attention to detail and consistent follow-through
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows based platforms such as Word and Outlook
- 2-year college degree in a related discipline is preferred
- 2 years of coaching or training experience is preferred
- 3-5 years of retail or in home sales support experience in window coverings or like industry strongly preferred
- Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and proof of insurance
- Ability to travel overnight if need be, and commute back and forth to appointments each day, (approved travel-related expenses are paid for by the company and we offer a per diem when overnight stay is required)
- Can lift & carry up to 20 pounds
