Respiratory Therapist-
JOB DETAILS-
Rotating or straight nights.
12/6 hr shifts.
Every other weekend, applicable holidays.
NICU experience needed.
Will you accept a traveler with 1-year experience? 2 minimum.
Required Certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist RRT requiredManager may consider CRT dependent upon experience she is willing to review.
South Dakota RCP License prior to submittal takes 30 days.
BLS, ACLS, PALS.
If working in NICU, must have NRP.
Required Education: AA Degree.
Skills required: Critical Care, General respiratory care experience.

HOSPITAL HIGHLIGHTS-
Beds: 260-280; Daily census 250-260.
Patient Types: Highly Progressive/Acute Respiratory Care - Adult Critical Care, Pediatric Critical Care, Neonatal Critical Care, and general inpatient respiratory care.
Must be prepared to care for NICU patients if the requisition calls for that NRP cert required.
Busy, fast-paced department.
Support on the Unit: Charge RT/Respiratory Clinical Specialist 24/7 Supervisors, Manager, Director.
Charting System: EPIC (required), Omnicell.
Equipment: Ventilators: Draeger V500 and Savina 300, 3100A Oscillator, Servo-I MRI, Hamilton C1ResMed APAP, CPAP, Bi-levelAirvo2 High flow devices, Cough Assist, Incourage vest, ABL90 Blood gas machines, IPV, Praxair iNO.

OTHER DETAILS-
Floating: RT Coverage throughout hospital and ED
Will not float to other facilities, unless hired for that specifically.
Scheduling: Weekend rotation: Every other.
Will they be on call? Dependent on facility.
Home Health Call: Every other week - Business hours are 0, call hours are 1 and weekends/holidays. Other facility: 1am-6am 3 days per week. Other facility: 1am-6am 3 days per week.
Will any other facilities have call requirements? Generally not unless its planned for events like the Rally at Hospital. At Other hospitals, we have call, so yes if we had needs there.

Notes-
Holiday Expectations: Work on holidays that fall within contract dates.
Approval of time off? up to 7 days, must extend contract if taking a full week off; no RTO during Sturgis Bike Rally first 3 weeks of August.
