Unit Information: Centennial Location: 6Tower Cardiac PCU Address: 2300 Patterson Street Floor: 6th floor Building: Main tower General Information Tell us about the unit(s): · Number of Beds - 33 · Number of Staff – optimal staffing is 9 nurses on days and 8 on nights · Type of staff: o Day Shift – 1 charge, 8 bedside nurses o Night Shift – 1 charge, 7 bedside nurses · Type of equipment – welch allyn vital sign machines · EMR - Meditech Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. · ACLS · EKG/telemetry competency Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first. · PCU/cardiac/tele experience List typical procedures performed on unit(s): · Recovering Left and right heart catheterization, ablations, watchman, PPM/ICD placement · Managing cardiac high risk drips · High number of end stage heart failure patients Best personality Fit: · Team oriented · Patient and family focused · Positive attitude REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: · BLS/ACLS Floating Area(s): · Anywhere any the hospital—cardiac, medsurg, oncology, neuro, ortho, neuro spine, surgical, telemetry room, help all in womens Dress Code : · Scrub Color/Attire - galaxy blue, Caribbean blue, red, burgundy, black Unit Guidelines/Policies : Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines. · Mandatory 3-5 minute huddle in break room at 0645 for day shift and 1845 for nightshift even if being floated to another unit. · Bedside shift report including waking the patient up to participate. · Hourly intentional rounding. Weekends and On call(if any) · 4 weekend shifts required a schedule (each schedule is 4 weeks long)
