Global Human Resources Manager

New Hampshire based position, this is not a remote opportunity.

Position Summary: 

The Global Human Resources Manager will play a critical role in expanding our company's international presence by developing a comprehensive global HR strategy. The successful candidate will manage the implementation of HR programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment with both corporate objectives and local compliance requirements. This individual will collaborate with senior leadership and Corporate HR teams to drive strategic HR programs, including compensation, benefits, employee relations, talent acquisition, and policy development, while also supporting the establishment and operational readiness for future international needs. This is a strategic position that requires experience in international HR leadership within a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment

 FLSA:  Exempt

 Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and implement global HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations across all company locations. Partner with corporate HR to adapt global policies to meet local requirements.
  • Act as the primary HR contact for all international managers and employees, providing guidance on compensation, benefits, hiring, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and organizational development.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute strategic HR initiatives that support business goals and enhance employee engagement and retention.
  • Lead the expansion of HR programs such as employee engagement surveys and recognition initiatives to include international locations, fostering a cohesive and collaborative workplace culture.
  • Oversee all aspects of expatriate assignments, including terms and conditions, relocations, onboarding, and repatriation processes. Partner with legal advisors to prepare employee agreements and local handbooks.
  • Manage relationships with local HR providers and ensure compliance with local labor laws and best practices. Stay informed on regulatory changes and market trends impacting HR in each operating country.
  • Serve as the lead HR liaison with the company's International Controller and external HR partners, including Employer of Record (EOR) providers.
  • Partner with the recruitment team to attract and secure top international talent, including developing job descriptions, conducting interviews, and negotiating offers. Maintain a robust talent pipeline to support organizational growth.
  • Provide expert guidance on employee relations issues, conducting investigations as needed and advising managers on conflict resolution and performance management.
  • Lead the performance management process, including the development of job descriptions, salary scales, and compensation structures, ensuring alignment with market standards.

 

Education/Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • SHRM-SCP or GPHR certification is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 6 years in international HR management within a manufacturing or similar environment.
  • Proven track record of success in a global HR role, with experience managing HR functions across multiple countries.
  • Strong knowledge of international labor laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic HR initiatives that align with business objectives and drive organizational performance.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with a strong ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel internationally up to 10% if necessary.

 Working Conditions:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer using a keyboard and mouse performing repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to open file cabinets, reach with hands and arms, bend, and twist, lift and move files.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
  • Must comply with all work exposure EH&S training requirements and adhere to SIG SAUER Inc. Security Mandates.
