SAIC is seeking a, Fully Remote, Senior Level Oracle DBA to serve on a team supporting our customer, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The DBA will be a part of a close team that is maintaining, enhancing, troubleshooting, monitoring, tuning, and upgrading Oracle databases for mission critical applications.

 NOTE: This position is a fully remote / work from home position.

Job Duties: 

• Must be an experienced Senior Level Oracle DBA able to work with minimum of oversight and assistance.
• Provide real-time support, including an on-call rotation, for all enterprise Oracle databases via Service Now.
• Apply Oracle database patches to hundreds of databases.
• Upgrade older Oracle databases to the latest release from Oracle.
• Work as part of a database operations support team to ensure 24x7 reliable operations of mission critical applications.
• Deploy and lead new Oracle database builds on-prem and possibly in the cloud or hybrid-cloud.
• Create and maintain multiple scripts (UNIX shell, SQL, PL/SQL) to support normal operations.
• Use Oracle Fleet Patching and Provisioning to keep apply Oracle Release Updates
• Use OEM to monitor and create scripts for correcting issues automatically.
• Work Oracle database support tickets (Incidents, SCTASKS) from Service Now across the entire enterprise.
• Ability to effectively share technical information with less experienced or knowledgeable co-workers.
• Responsible for cross-training junior DBAs.
• Experience with supporting and create Oracle Data Guard pairs is a must.
• Experience creating and supporting Oracle Clusters (RAC) is a must.
• Experience with Oracle multitenant implementations is also required.  (CDBs/PDBs).
• Experience with Oracle ASM and ACFS is also a must.
• Familiarity with Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM), Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) desired.
• Responsible for RMAN backups and recovery using NetBackup and Cohesity appliances.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: 

• Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree 
• Experience with UNIX Shell, SQL*Plus, and PL/SQL is required
• Experience with Oracle RMAN Backups and Recovery
• Must be able to Recover Oracle databases and objects using RMAN and Oracle data pump for logical recovery.
• Experience with Oracle Fleet Patching and Provisioning is desired.
• Experience with Oracle Exadata is also desired.
• Experience with OEM is required.  Must be able to use OEM to setup and resolve incidents or events as they happen.
• Experience with PostGreSQL, MySQL and MongoDB is a plus because this position will require supporting other non-Oracle RDBMS as required.

Required Certifications: 

• CompTIA Security Plus Certification is required prior to start date.

Required Security Clearance: 

• Must have an existing Secret Clearance.

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
