ServiceNow Custom Application Senior/Lead Developer
The Procurement Engagement Layer is a single, personalized interface intended to provide an intuitive User Experience layer that helps guide users' requests and tasks that engage Enterprise Sourcing and Procurement teams and systems (both on premise and vendor-hosted). As a Senior or Lead Developer/architect, you would be involved in designing and building strategic system integrations and identifying innovative technical solutions to improve business efficiency through automation, routing, and a user-centric interface. You will be looked to as a senior resource to other more junior developers and you'll provide guidance, coaching, and ensure code quality is embedded in everything your team does.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess and interpret customer needs and requirements through participation in human-centered design
- Innovate for user efficiency
- Work with business users, managers, and SMEs to translate complex business requirements and workflows into scalable solutions designed for user experience
- Thoughtfully apply automation to improve user efficiency
- Collaborate with application owners to design and execute system integrations; work with application owners to build understanding of systems or APIs involved in integrations
- Review API documentation to understand how to develop integrations with given APIs or systems
- Collaborate with application developers to thoughtfully execute system integrations
- Ensure integrations are securely developed for reusability and resiliency
- Understand how integrations impact system supply chain
- Ensure system architecture supports enterprise scalability
- Ensure architecture and integrations support enterprise strategies
- Create and maintain system architecture documentation, including system integration library
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years IT design experience - solution architecture, application design, API integrations
- 5+ years ServiceNow experience
- 2+ years Development experience - javascript, angular, etc.
- 2+ years of guidance/mentorship or management of developers
- Agile Scrum experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years in a senior engineering role, with demonstrated influence on solution selection and reusable asset design across multiple departments
- ServiceNow architecture and system administration experience
- Human-centered design experience or exposure
