About the role:

 

Type: Full Time Salaried

Compensation: $92,000 - $138,000

Location: Fully Remote, must be in the United States

Hours: Full Time Days

What to Expect: The Senior Business Inteligence Analyst will primarily be responsible for querying and analyzing healthcare information for the Business Intelligence and Healthcare Analytics team. The role requires extensive use of SQL to extract data from varied SQL Server databases and utilizing other analysis tools such as Excel, Tableau and statistical packages to provide meaningful analysis to internal and external customers. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Uses querying languages like SQL, scripting languages like R or Python, and other tools like Tableau or Excel to produce reports and perform meaningful quantitative or qualitative analysis addressing impactful business issues or questions.
  • Writes SQL code to extract and analyze data from multiple data sources. Comfortable with stored procedures, complex joins, optimization and writing code every day.
  • Develops data visualizations using varied packages such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Connects and analyzes multiple data sources and databases with various architectures and features.
  • Tracks, analyzes and interprets data trends and provides relevant conclusions and recommendations to management.
  • Maintains a thorough understanding of the business process flows and identifies and reports opportunities for improvement.
  • Identifies, reports, and participates in data issue validation and resolution.
  • Creates forecasts and identifies trends and opportunities using statistical methods.
  • Works directly with department leaders to review, enhance and implement, daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly monitoring and reporting to track program performance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 


Qualifications

Must Haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in quantitative analytics field such as Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, Operations Research, Data and/or Business Analysis, Data Science or other business-related subject area
  • 5+ years business data analysis experience
  • 5+ years SQL Server experience including developing complex stored procedures and queries in a SQL Server environment
  • Knowledge and experience in a healthcare environment involving claims management and coding
  • Experience with Risk Adjustment Models and Quality Programs
  • Business Analytics (utilizing math, statistics, and computer science)
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Knowledge and experience in a healthcare environment involving claims management and coding preferred
  • Knowledge of statistical concepts (regression, correlation, analysis of variance, etc.) with some experience in R or Python preferred
  • Strong experience with T-SQL, stored procedures, functions, common table expressions (CTE)
  • Strong proficiency with Excel and Tableau or similar tools
