Job Summary

The Provider Sourcing Specialist is responsible for developing and maintaining a strong pipeline of candidates aligned with current and projected business objectives. The sourcing specialist develops creative approaches to identify, attract, and engage high quality candidates by ensuring maximum exposure of current and anticipated provider opportunities throughout Lexington Medical Center. The sourcing specialist utilizes innovative sourcing strategies to develop leads, pre-screen CVs, and professionally present candidates to recruiters. They will also assist with site visit coordination, provide business intelligence and market data to support ongoing sourcing initiatives, and maintain the candidate database. 

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in business, communications, human resources, marketing or health related field 
Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year of experience in areas such as healthcare, recruiting, medical staffing/credentialing, sales/marketing or customer service.
Substitutable Education & Experience (Optional): In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, candidates with an Associate's Degree and 2 additional years of experience in areas such as healthcare, recruiting, medical staffing/credentialing, sales/marketing or customer service will be considered. 
Required Certifications/Licensure: Certified Medical Staff Recruiter (CMSR) or Certified Physician/Provider Recruitment Professional (CPRP). Candidates without one of the above certifications may apply, but must obtain either certification within 90 days of hire or transfer into role.
Required Training: None

Essential Functions
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of the health system and regional communities in order to assist with candidate inquiries.
  • Collaborate with recruiters to develop position profiles and manage postings on appropriate web-based career sites, professional organizations job boards, etc. 
  • Assist with the identification of potential candidates through online job postings, residency and fellowship program networking, physician sourcing databases and professional medical associations to attract qualified and diverse candidates.
  • Participate in recruitment networking activities such as helping to organize and attend career fairs, recruiting venues, etc. as needed.
  • Conduct initial vetting of leads and create candidate profiles to present to recruiters.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Implement effective processes to identify and maintain passive candidates, creating a standard follow-up cadence. 
  • Assist recruiter with the facilitation of the site visit for the candidate and significant other/family. This may include but is not limited to making arrangements for travel, lodging, meals, and welcome gift, developing itineraries and providing transportation, as needed.
  • Maintain candidate database, track recruitment targets and needs/opportunities throughout the health system and provides status reports as requested. 
  • Analyze effectiveness of efforts through data analysis and reporting including search progress reports, status reports, and market trend/feedback reports 
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
