Job Summary:
Kelly Services in looking for a Facilities Manager for our client in St. Louis, MO. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the maintenance, repair, and upgrading of our infrastructure, grounds, and utilities to create a safe and productive work environment. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and operational requirements, as well as coordinating activities across multiple departments to ensure smooth plant operations.
Job Specifications:
- Job Type: Direct Hire – Full time
- Salary: $80,000-$100,000 depending on experience
- Hours: Monday – Friday (flexible start time)
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage the plant's daily facility operations, including systems for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, and other mechanical needs.
- Ensure all operations comply with building codes, safety standards, environmental practices, and waste management regulations at the local, state, and federal levels.
- Organize and oversee projects involving facility improvements, such as upgrades, refurbishments, and expansions.
- Create and oversee the facilities budget, covering maintenance costs, capital expenditures, and utility expenses.
- Assess and choose vendors and contractors for various facility services.
- Supervise and optimize the usage of utilities like water, electricity, gas, and compressed air for cost efficiency.
- Develop and enact energy-saving programs to minimize the plant's environmental impact and lower operational costs.
- Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the facility, including landscaping, parking areas, and communal spaces.
- Source, negotiate, and manage contracts with external vendors, service providers, and contractors for maintenance, repair, and service needs.
- Monitor vendor performance to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Keep accurate records and documentation for facility inspections, maintenance, repairs, safety audits, and compliance reporting.
- Generate regular reports on facility operations, focusing on key performance indicators (KPIs), maintenance costs, and project statuses.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in facilities management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of facility systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.), building codes, and regulatory compliance.
- Project management skills
