
Description
Kelly is seeking a Claims Assessor for a remote position to analyze and manage complex general liability claims, negotiate settlements, and ensure claims are handled according to best practices. Responsibilities:
- Investigate and analyze liability claims.
- Develop action plans for resolving claims.
- Negotiate and settle claims within authority limits.
- Manage and adjust claim reserves.
- Process and pay benefits and claim payments.
- Prepare required state filings.
- Manage the litigation process.
- Coordinate vendor referrals for additional investigations.
- Use cost-saving techniques.
- Manage claim recoveries like subrogation.
- Report claims to excess carriers.
- Communicate with claimants and clients.
- Ensure proper documentation and coding of claims.
- Refer complex cases to supervisors.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Professional certification preferred.
- 5 years of claims management experience.
- Knowledge of insurance principles and laws.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Good negotiation and teamwork skills.
