Job Description

The New Mexico Veterans Healthcare System is seeking a full-time board eligible/certified Urologist to join our team to help transform how we provide healthcare in times of great need. We have positions throughout New Mexico that may align with the geographic preference that you are seeking.

Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases
Paid Time Off: 50–55 days of paid time off per year

Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory
CME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement

Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restrictions on moonlighting
Schedule: Monday- Friday 8am-4:30pm

Duties

  • Weekly bedside rounds with assigned staff to discuss patient care, policies, procedures, and findings from QA monitors and staff concerns
  • Problem identification and resolution as evidenced by documentation in memorandums, reports of contact, incident reports, etc.
  • Assesses plans and evaluates the quality and appropriateness of patient care
  • Participates in clinical rounds to monitor compliance with standards of care, policies and procedures, safety standards/guidelines. Demonstrates the ability to address the young adult, middle adult and geriatric patient's communicative disorders; cognitive deficits; physical limitations and considerations; emotional and behavioral reactions; in addition to linking age specific needs with the appropriate care/treatment
