Description
The Alexandria VA Medical Center is seeking a compassionate, full-time, BC/BE, Primary Physician to serve as a member of its Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT). Highlights of this position include:
- Competitive Starting Salary $210,000 - $235,000
- Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am-4:30pm. NO CALL
- Potential of up to 25% travel required to Community Based Outpatient Clinic locations
- Provide care to approximately 12-20 outpatients daily for all facets of acute care
- Manage and provide care to scheduled and unscheduled patients
- Serves as a member of the Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) team, and coordinate patient care
- Board Certified with Family Practice and/or VA experience preferred
- Must be computer literate to access and input electronic medical documentation
- Must be a U.S. Citizen. Non-Citizen candidates will be considered if a U.S. Citizen is not found
- Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State
- Predictable work schedules and a focus on quality rather than volume
- Annual performance bonus up to an additional $15K per year

- Malpractice: Liability protection with tail coverage provided
- 26 days paid vacation; 13 days paid sick time per year w/unlimited carry over; 11 paid holidays
- Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA
- Possible 5 days and up to $1,000 per year reimbursement for CME's (must be full-time with board certification)
- This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), if approved
