Mercer forms strategic alliance with CareerArc to provide Candidate Care technology solution
Mercer, a global consulting leader in advancing health, wealth, and careers, and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan Companies, Inc. (NYSE: MMC), announced today it has formed a strategic alliance with CareerArc to provide employers with a technology solution that strengthens and protects their brand while maintaining candidates’ interest in future opportunities. Mercer CareerArc Candidate Care will be the first of several innovative offerings to come from this alliance. CareerArc is a leading HR software solutions provider revolutionizing social, on demand transition services for today’s modern workforce.
With the Mercer CareerArc Candidate Care solution, employers can help job applicants with their next career step by providing declined candidates with assistance that includes a resume and cover letter builder, skills assessments, video interview practicing, job matching tools – including Mercer MatchTM, Mercer’s new game-based approach – and more.
“With the Mercer CareerArc Candidate Care service, our clients have an incredible opportunity to build their brand by giving declined candidates access to a tool that helps them find their next career opportunity faster,” said Ilya Bonic, Senior Partner and President of Mercer’s Talent business. “I’m energized by the opportunity to benefit society by helping individuals – in high volumes – secure their next opportunity in a fraction of the time it would take without this service.”
“In today’s world of social media, the reputation of companies can be impacted dramatically by transitioning employees and declined candidates, especially if they’re not treated respectfully,” said Robin D. Richards, Chairman and CEO of CareerArc. “It’s more important than ever for companies to provide world-class job assistance to all employees while amplifying and protecting their brand in the marketplace.”
Building upon Mercer’s consulting strength and capabilities in talent management, this alliance with CareerArc supports the firm’s focus on innovative hiring approaches and marks its first offering related to outplacement. Earlier this year, Mercer introduced Mercer Match, a game-based mobile app for helping employers find best performing talent quickly and cost-effectively through neuroscience and big data. Mercer Match was developed in cooperation with Pymetrics, and late last year Mercer announced an investment in the company. Additionally, last year Mercer invested in Talent Tech Labs, the start-up accelerator and co-working space specifically focused on innovative talent acquisition technologies, to facilitate growth in this area.
